What is food grade silicone made of?
Like our other silicone mold making products, our food grade liquid silicone is made of durable, flexible, high-quality silicone. However, our food grade silicone is 100% safe for use with food once poured, and won’t risk adding any harmful contaminants to whatever consumables your pour into your molds.

How should I use food grade silicone for mold making?
AeroMarine food grade silicone is perfect for molding chocolate, sugar, candy, fondant, ice, or other frozen liquids into fun and novel shapes.
The first thing you’ll want to do is pick a mold. Figure out what shape you want your food to take, make a frame out of cardboard or plastic, and pour your silicone over the object you wish to make a mold of. Once it’s set, you can peel away the silicone to reveal the mold. For more detailed instructions, view this video on our technical support video channel, and find out what other food grade silicone mold making supplies you may need.
Do not use your silicone food mold for baking or as a food storage container. Silicone molds should be used strictly as a way to mold your food.
What is the best way to clean food grade silicone molds?
Once you’re done making your beautifully molded chocolate shapes or gorgeous fondant figures, wash your silicone mold with warm water and liquid soap. Do not put your silicone food mold in the dishwasher. Simply washing it gently in the sink will be enough to keep your food safe silicone clean and usable later on.
