Our 2# pour foam offers very good insulation with an R-Value of 7 per cubic inch. You can pour it into wall spaces or into forms to make insulation panels. It is a great insulator around the exterior of refrigerators and freezers. 2# density foam also works well for soundproofing.
Q. How much does one quart of mixed 2# pour foam fill?
Our 2# pour foam ½ gallon kit will fill about a 2 cubic foot at 72F.
Q. What is 2# foam’s compressive strength and K-factor?
The 2# foam has a compressive strength of 40 psi and a K-factor of 0.22.
Q. How much pour foam should I mix at one time?
Start with a quart of each side. This quantity will give you sufficient time to mix and pour the foam. You can pour more foam as you go because pour foam adheres to itself.
Q. Can I spray the 2# pour foam?
No! Our 2# pour foam is not a sprayable foam.
Q. Can I brush or spray the liquid foam onto a vertical wall to provide a uniform thickness of insulation foam?
A. No, the liquid foam will just run to the floor, then rise. You will have a big blob of foam on the floor. It is NOT a sprayable foam.
