Air Jordan 1 candle set
Mr. Quentin Berryhill, founder and owner of Colle and Kreamy Wax, makes a lot of amazing art and skate wax. However, lately he’s been focus on producing beautiful and original soaps and candles.
Mr. Berryhill attended Cal State Northridge where he took a sculpting class as an elective that sparked his interest in sculpting, molding and casting. After college, he skated for Pharmacy (2013), where he put his sculpting, molding and casting skills to work making skateboard wax. He founded Kreamy Wax in 2013. He focused on making great skate wax in a variety of unexpected and interesting shapes, like Bart Simpson’s head, donuts, cinnamon rolls, and video game controllers.

Because making skate wax is messy and time consuming, he started to look for ways to expand his business and use more of his artistic skills. He focused on developing candle and soap formulas that would be all natural and locally sourced. With that knowledge, he founded Colle in 2017 and started molding and casting his LA street culture-inspired candles and soaps. His favorite project so far has been his Air Jordan 1 candle set. He sells them packaged as a pair of shoes, a right and a left, in a mini sneaker box.

To get his original pieces, Mr. Berryhill sculpts them from clay or uses a 3D rendering program and 3D prints them. Once the original is to his liking, he uses our AeroMarine Products 128 Silicone RTV Rubber to make a mold. He started years ago using our AeroMarine Products 125 Simple 1:1 RTV Silicone Rubber but switched to the more durable AeroMarine Products 128 Silicone RTV Rubber once he became comfortable with the molding process. This is common with customers who use our silicone to make molds for their growing businesses. The AM 125 Silicone is great to learn with because of its easy mix ratio and quick cure time, but the AM 128 silicone produces a more production quality mold. Mr. Berryhill has excelled with his mold making skills over the years, having started with simple one part molds and moving on to master complex multi-part molds.
